The Glamis Retreat - Express Your Interest

Join us in 2027!

We are delighted to share early details of a very special retreat planned for autumn 2027 - a journey through Scotland’s rich textile heritage, artistic legacy, and breathtaking landscapes.

This immersive experience will begin with three inspiring days in Edinburgh, where we will explore the city’s cultural treasures, including time with the extraordinary Burrell Collection. The Burrell’s remarkable holdings of decorative arts, textiles, and design will form part of the creative foundation for our workshops.

From Edinburgh, we will travel north into the Scottish Highlands, where we will spend time at the magnificent Glamis Castle - a place steeped in history, atmosphere, and extraordinary textile tradition.

At Glamis Castle we will have privileged access to the property and be able to spend time in the archives with Ingrid Thomson. Glamis houses an exceptional textile collection that reflects centuries of creativity by the women of the family from the 17th century onwards.

Our workshop programme will feature designs from both Glamis and The Burrell Collection.

Express Your Interest

We are not yet ready to open full bookings. However, due to the unique nature of this retreat and limited anticipated spaces, we are inviting expressions of interest.

You may secure priority access with a fully refundable £50 deposit. This deposit:

  • Reserves your priority place when bookings open
  • Is entirely refundable should you decide not to proceed
  • Helps us gauge numbers and shape the experience

This retreat is being thoughtfully curated, and places will be limited.

If Scotland’s landscapes, historic interiors, and extraordinary textile traditions call to you, we would love for you to join us on this journey.
